April 2026 the start of Phase II, KGL project
Phase II Of the "Dance For Youth Empowerment Project" has been launced in Tamale to promote cultural heritage, empower young people, and enhance skills develop0ment thorugh traditional music and dance. The project , an initiative of the Tamale Youth home Cultural Group (TYHCG) with Funding support frop KGL Foundation, seeks to train and build capacity of 40 youth in cultural dance programs in Tamale Aria in december 2026.
Participatiing schools are
Choggy Demonstration Junior Hifh School (JHS)
Excellence Academy JHS
Kalpohin Anglican JHS
Ansuare International JHS.
The project will be implemented incommunities such as Changli, Bamvin, Gumbihini and Kalpohin.

KLG project for 2025
The Dance for Youth Empowerment Project Drumming and Dancing Competition ended successful in december 2025 at the Tamale Youth Home.
Four community groups namely Malgu Cultural Group from Bamvim, Yumzaa Cultural Group from Gumbihini, Kalpohim Baamaya group from Kalpohim and Changli Cultural Group from Changli participated in the competition. The main aim of this event was to practically demonstrate the drumming and dancing lessons learnt from the Instructors who were selected to support in reshaping the dance moves, drumming rhythms and sharing of cultural ethics. At the end of the event
Yumzaa Cultural Group was 1st.
Kalpohim Baamaya group 2nd.
Changli Cultural Group 3rd.
Malgu Cultural Group 4th.
